Man suffers life-threatening injuries after being hit by bus driver

Regional police are investigating after a pedestrian was allegedly hit by a Halifax Transit bus driver on a stormy Monday night.

According to police, the incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. Monday as a bus was turning right onto Robie from South St. The driver, police say, then hit the pedestrian who was in a marked crosswalk.

The 22-year-old man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

There is no word on charges at this time. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
