تعد زيارة “تمثالي ممنون” بالبر الغربي في مدينة الأقصر جنوب مصر إحدى أهم جولات الأفواج السياحية للشهرة العالمية لهما. وتاريخياً يعودان إلى أمنحتب الثالث، أحد أبرز ملوك الأسرة الثامنة عشرة الذي حكم مصر لمدة 38 عاماً، إلا أنه شاع إطلاق اسم “ممنون” عليهما بعد تعرضهما لزلزال في عام 27 قبل الميلاد. فهل ثمة علاقة لبطل حرب طروادة بالتمثالين الفرعونيين؟

طور الملك أمنحتب الثالث هندسة بناء المعابد بطريقة نوعية في عهده الذي عرف بالاستقرار والنهضة، وهو ما يتجلى في تمثالي “ممنون” اللذين يصوران الملك الفرعوني جالسا ًعلى العرش ويداه مبسوطتان على ركبتيه ناظراً تجاه الشرق بناحية معبد الأقصر، كما نحت شكلين قصيرين على مقدمة العرش إلى جانب ساقيه هما أمه “موت إم ويا” و زوجته “تي”.

وكانت صناعة التمثالين شاقة، حيث صنع من كتل حجر الكوارتزيت الرملي التي استخرجت من الجبل الأحمر بالقرب من العاصمة القاهرة في الوقت الحالي، وجرى نقل الكتلتين اللتين يتجاوز وزنهما 2000 طن عبر السفن النهرية عكس اتجاه نهر النيل، الأمر الذي صعّب مسيرتهما، وبعد وصولهما أشرف على عملية نحت تمثالي أمنحتب الثالث أمهر مهندسي عصره من كافة الأقاليم. وصل ارتفاع كل تمثال إلى 18 متراً بمقدار 60 قدماً، ويزن كل منهما 720 طناً، بمسافة بينهما تقدر بـ15 متراً.

طروادة وأصوات النحيب

يقول الباحث في شؤون آثار البر الغربي أحمد البدري، “بعد فترة من وفاة الملك أمنحتب الثالث تعرضت منطقة البر الغربي لزلزال قوي، في عام 1200 قبل الميلاد تقريباً، الأمر الذي تسبب في تدمير المعبد الجنائزي الخاص به، وتأثر كلا التمثالين تأثراً بسيطاً. لم يتوقف الأمر عند هذا الحد ففي عام 27 ميلادية تعرضت المنطقة لزلزال أشد قوة أحدث شروخاً وتصدعات قوية في جسد التمثالين، خصوصاً الشمالي، وأجريت ترميمات بدائية له لإعادة بنائه”.

وأضاف، “التصدعات التي حدثت في التمثال الشمالي من النصف السفلي جعلته يصدر صفيراً أشبه بالغناء الحزين أو النحيب نتيجة مرور الهواء بداخله، يومياً في غضون ساعة أو يزيد قبل شروق الشمس مع الفجر، وسجل ذلك العديد من المؤرخين والرحالة الرومان والإغريق“.

وتابع البدري، “أصبح لكلا التمثالين شهرة عالمية على يد الإغريق، إذ فسروا صوت الصفير الحزين بأنه نحيب لبطل حرب طروادة (ممنون) الذي قاد جيوشه من إثيوبيا إلى آسيا الصغرى للمساعدة في فك الحصار عن المدينة، إلا أنه قتل على يد (آخليس)”.

وبحسب الأسطورة التي شاعت على نحو واسع، “طلبت (إيوس)، والدة ممنون، وهي إلهة الفجر، من الإله (زيوس) أكبر آلهة الإغريق أن يميز ابنها عن باقي البشر فكان وعده لها أن يتردد صوته يومياً، وكانت أمه تبكيه عند سماعها لهذا الصوت”.

يوضح، “دخول قصة التمثالين عالم الأسطورة أسهم في شيوع اسم ممنون على اسمهما رغم أنهما يعودان تاريخياً إلى الملك أمنحتب الثالث الذي توارى اسمه سوى بين الدارسين والباحثين، وبات الجميع يطلق عليهما (ممنون) حتى سكان المنطقة الأصليين. واستقطبت هذه الأسطورة زيارة الإغريق والرومان في العصور القديمة للاستماع لصوت نحيب ممنون، وفق التفسير الشائع آنذاك، الذي هو في الأساس صوت مرور الهواء في الأجزاء المتصدعة ليصبحا بهذا من أشهر المزارات القديمة والحديثة”. وبحسب العديد من المؤرخين “توقف الصوت في عام 200 ميلادية، بعد عدد من الترميمات البسيطة التي عالجت الشروخ والتصدعات المنتشرة بهما”.

واليوم، تبدأ الأفواج السياحية خلال زيارتها للبر الغربي بمدينة الأقصر بزيارة تمثالي ممنون، لشهرة ارتباطهما بأسطورة حرب طروادة المتداولة على حجمهما الشاهق الذي يغري الكثيرين لالتقاط الصور بينهما. الأمر الذي يؤكده نقيب المرشدين السياحيين السابق وائل إبراهيم بقوله، “إن تمثالي ممنون يعدان من أهم البرامج السياحية، بل وتحرص بعض الأفواج السياحية على مشاهدتهما عبر رحلات البالون الطائر ثم زيارتهما على الأرض لالتقاط الصور بينهما، لشهرتهما الطاغية بين جميع الجنسيات السياحية التي تزور مدينة الأقصر”.
