CANADAكندا عربي كوفيد-19:كندا تخصّص 1،1 مليار دولار لاستراتيجيّة البحث العلمي by admin 24 أبريل، 2020 written by admin 24 أبريل، 2020 154 راديو كندا الدولي / إعداد مي أبو صعب | barid@rcinet.ca يسعى العديد من الخبراء حول العالم لتطوير لقاحات وأدوية لقاحات فعّالة ضدّ وباء فيروس كورونا المستجدّ. وبلغت بعض الاختبارات مرحلة التجارب السريريّة وما زال بعضها الآخر في مراحله الأولى، والأمل في أن يتمّ التوصّل إلى نتيجة في أقرب وقت ممكن، للقضاء على الفيروس الذي أودى بحياة ما يزيد على ألفي شخص في كندا ونحو من 200 ألف شخص حول العالم. واليوم، أعلن رئيس الحكومة الكنديّة جوستان ترودو عن تمويل بقيمة 1ـ1 مليار دولار لاستراتيجيّة البحث العلمي الذي يهدف للتصدّي لجائحة كوفيد-19. “كلّما فهمنا الفيروس بشكل أفضل، وانتشاره وتداعياته على الناس، كلّما تمكّنّا من مقاومته وربّما في احتمال التغلّب عليه”: رئيس الحكومة جوستان ترودو. وتتضمّن الاستراتيجيّة 3 أجزاء، ويُخصّص الجزء الأوّل للأبحاث حول اللقاحات والعلاجات ورصدت له الحكومة 115 مليون دولار، و رصدت 662 مليون دولار للجزء الثاني حول التجارب السريريّة للّقاحات والعلاجات المحتملة و 350 مليون دولار للاختبارات ونمذجة المرض. وأعلن ترودو عن إنشاء مجموعة عمل حول كوفيد-19 تركّز على اختبار الأمصال ، وهي اختبارات الدم التي تُستخدم لمعرفة ما إذا كان الشخص قد تعرّض فعلا للفيروس. وتضمّ اللجنة خمسة أطبّاء من بينهم د. تيريزا تام مديرة وكالة الصحّة العامّة الكنديّة و د. منى نمر كبيرة المستشارين العلميّين في كندا، و د. ديفيد نيلور الذي كان يرأس اللجنة الكنديّة للاستجابة متلازمة الالتهاب التنفسيّ الحادّ (سارس). “تساعدنا نتائج الأبحاث على أكثر من صعيد، إن لتجعل اللقاح متاحا أو لتحديد أيّ الإجراءات الصحيّة أكثر فعاليّة من سواها وينبغي اعتمادها”: رئيس الحكومة جوستان ترودو. وسوف تعمل اللجنة على تحديد عدد المصابين بمرض كوفيد-19 من غير الذين خضعوا لاختبار الكشف عن الفيروس، وما إذا كان الذين تعافوا منهم باتوا يتمتّعون بالمناعة، وفي حال الإيجاب، مدى استمرار هذه المناعة. رئيس الحكومة جوستان ترودو يقول إنّ فهم الفيروس بطريقة أفضل يساهم في مقاومته والتغلّب عليه:Paul Chiasson:CP وسوف يخضع مليون كندي للاختبارات في إطار الدراسة التي تستمرّ أعمالها على مدى سنتين. وأكّد رئيس الحكومة أنّ الاختبارات أساسيّة في جهود التصدّي للفيروس، وتُجري كندا 20 ألف اختبار يوميّا لفيروس كورونا المستجدّ. “ينبغي زيادة الاختبارات حتّى قبل أن نتمكّن من إعادة فتح الأعمال وأن نستأنف نشاطنا العادي كبلاد”: رئيس الحكومة جوستان ترودو. وكانت الحكومة الليبراليّة برئاسة جوستان ترودو قد أعلنت منتصف الشهر الفائت عن تخصيص 275 مليون دولار للأبحاث حول كوفيد-19، في إطار خطّة المساعدة الطارئة . وقدّمت بعد أسبوعين مساعدة قدرها 192 مليون دولار لعدد من الشركات الكنديّة ومعاهد الأبحاث التي تجري أبحاثا حول اللقاحات والأدوية لمكافحة الوباء. نشير أخيرا إلى ما أكّده رئيس الحكومة خلال مؤتمره الصحفي، من أنّ أوتاوا ستنشر أفرادا من القوّات الكنديّة في مراكز الرعاية الطويلة الأمد في مقاطعتي أونتاريو وكيبيك بناء على طلب الحكومة في كلّ م المقاطعتين. وسبق أن انتشر نحو من 125 جنديّا في مراكز الرعاية في كيبيك، وطلب رئيس الحكومة الكيبيكي فرانسوا لوغو بانتشار المزيد منها. ويشار إلى أنّ هذه المراكز تعاني من ارتفاع حالات الوفاة والإصابة بين المقيمين والعاملين فيها، وتعاني نقصا حادّا في عدد العاملين فيها.
