عربية/ إبراهيم العريس باحث وكاتب عندما أصدر مغني الأوبرا الروسي الشهير فيودور شاليابين جزءاً أول من سيرته بعنوان “صفحات من حياتي” 1929 فوجئ قراؤه، وكانوا كثراً بالطبع حينها، وموزعين على معظم أنحاء العالم، ولكن خصوصاً في أميركا وأوروبا، بأن الكتاب لا يتحدث إلا عن القسم الأول من حياته، أي عن الفترة بين ولادته عام 1873 وعام 1905. فلما سئل عن ذلك أجاب مبتسماً أن “كل الناس يعرفون عن المرحلة التالية كل شيء، فلماذا تريدون أن تتعبوني بكتابة أمور تعرفونها؟”. ولكن سرعان ما تبين أن الرجل كان يمزح، إذ إنه كان في تلك الآونة يكتب جزءاً ثانياً من تلك السيرة لينشره بعد سنوات قليلة تحت عنوان “الرجل والقناع: أربعون عاماً من حياة مغن”. خيبة أمل للمعجبين والحقيقة أنه بقدر ما أحب معجبو شاليابين الجزء الأول من مذكراته، أبدوا خيبة أملهم إزاء الجزء الثاني، والسبب بسيط، كانت الأمور التي تحدث عنها في الأول جديدة وجريئة تحكي ما يشبه روايات تشارلز ديكنز عن طفولة معذبة أمضاها شاليابين في مسقط رأسه قازان الروسية تحت رحمة أب سكير وفي ظل فقر مدقع، أما في الثاني، فتحكي الصفحات العديدة حكاية نجاح لا جديد فيها، حكاية، كان الناس يعرفونها بحذافيرها بالفعل، بل إن المغني الكبير الذي كان يعيش معظم وقته في باريس حينها، لم يبرر أياً من الأمور التي كانت تثير التساؤلات حول حياته، بل بدا من خلال فصول الكتاب فناناً مجتهداً منضبطاً، ينحو إلى تجربة ربط فنه الأوبرالي الكبير بالسينما، لا سيما من خلال قيامه بأدوار كان سبق أن لعبها أوبرالياً، ولكن من دون أن ينجح في عمله السينمائي باستثناء نجاحه في لعب دور من دون كيشوت والغناء فيه تحت إدارة بابست. “خرجت رحمة بالثورة” من هنا، عاد القراء إلى الجزء الأول ليبحثوا ليس فقط عن تفاصيل طفولة شاليابين وصباه بل حتى عن بدايات انخراطه في الحياة الفنية العالمية، لا سيما بفضل دياغيليف الذي وجده مناسباً تماماً للعمل معه في جولات الباليهات الروسية التي راحت تتحرك بين المدن الأوروبية ناشرة ذلك الفن الروسي العظيم، ساحبة معها إلى أعلى ذرى الشهرة أعداداً كبيرة من فنانين كان شاليابين في طليعتهم بالتأكيد. غير أن سنوات عديدة مرت على أي حال بين بدايات شاليابين الكبيرة واستقراره النهائي في أوروبا خارج بلاده الروسية من دون أن يشفي هو غليل أولئك الذين كانوا يسألونه دائماً عما إذا كان انتصار الثورة البولشفية ما دفعه إلى ذلك الخيار، فإذا كان معظم الفنانين والأدباء الروس الذين هاجروا خلال السنوات التالية لاندلاع الثورة البلشفية في عام 1917، فعلوا ذلك بسبب اختلافهم مع الثورة ومفاهيمها، فإن فيودور إيفانوفيتش شاليابين، كان فناناً من صنف نادر بين المهاجرين، فهو إذ بارح بلاده في 1921 ليعيش متنقلاً في الغرب، لم يفته أبداً أن يعبّر في أحاديثه الصحافية بعد ذلك عن أنه أبداً لم يكن على خصام مع الثورة، بل إنه “مناصر لها مؤمن بمبادئها”. إذاً، لماذا هاجرت يا سيد شاليابين؟ لماذا لم تبق في الداخل لتدعم الثورة وثورييها؟ حين يوجه إليه ذلك السؤال المحرج، مبدئياً، كان شاليابين يبتسم بكل بساطة، ويقول، “دعماً للثورة. فالحال أن الفن الذي أقدمه هو من التعقيد والنزعة البورجوازية بحيث كان سيشكل عبئاً على الثورة لو بقيت. وإنني أعتقد، أنني أخدم بلادي ونظامها الجديد في الخارج بأفضل مما كان بإمكاني أن أفعل لو بقيت في الداخل”. انتهازية أم تجنب للمشاكل؟ كثيرون في ذلك الحين كانوا يرون في كلام شاليابين شيئاً من الانتهازية وكثيراً من المواربة، أما الحقيقة، التي عاد شاليابين ولمح إليها في ثنايا كتابيه، فهي أنه كان مدركاً، بحاسته السادسة، أنه ولو كان مؤمناً بالثورة، فإن الصراع بينه وبينها، حين تتحول إلى دولة حقيقية، سوف يندلع، ما يدفعه إما إلى الهجرة غاضباً، وإما إلى الانتحار كما كان حال العديدين من مجايليه، من يسينين إلى مايرهولد إلى ماياكوفسكي، وإما إلى السجن والتعذيب مثلما كان حال تريتياكوف، لذلك، آثر المغني الكبير أن يهاجر صلحاً، وأن ينظر إلى الأمور من الخارج، وهو لن يندم على ذلك أبداً. مهما يكن في الأمر، فإن شاليابين كان معروفاً على نطاق واسع في الغرب، وكانت له، حتى من قبل هجرته، مكانة تضاهي مكانة كاروزو، ومكانة بافاروتي في أيامنا هذه، حتى وإن كان صوت هذين من نوع “تينور” كان فن الأوبرا يعتبر من أرقى الفنون وأصعبها أداء وتلقياً. “دون كيشوت” على الشاشة على أي حال، حين انتقل شاليابين إلى الغرب في عام 1921 كان معروفاً ومشهوراً، لذلك راحت المسارح في ميلانو ونيويورك ولندن وباريس تتخاطفه، وراح هو يبدع في أعمال مثل “حلاق إشبيلية” لروسيني، و”دون جيوفاني” لموزار، وخصوصاً “بوريس غودونوف” لموسورغسكي. ووصلت شهرته في سنواته الأخيرة، قبل رحيله عن عالمنا عام 1938، إلى أن يمثل الدور الرئيس في ذلك الفيلم السينمائي عن “دون كيشوت”، ويعتبر في ذلك الحين واحداً من أكبر الفنانين الروس على الإطلاق. ولد شاليابين، كما يروي لنا في الجزء الأول من سيرته، في قرية قرب مدينة قازان في روسيا 1873، متحدراً من أسرة فقيرة، لكن أسرته كانت ذات تقاليد فنية موسيقية عريقة، وذات إيمان ديني أعمق، لذلك التحق الفتى، بسبب جمال صوته، كمغن في كورس الكنيسة في قريته، وكان في الـ17 من عمره حين بدأت مواهبه في الغناء الفردي، لا الجماعي، تظهر، فانضم في عام 1890، إلى فرقة للغناء الأوبرالي في مدينة قازان، غير أن قسوة أبيه ومحدودية العيش والتألق في تلك المنطقة البعيدة من العالم، جعلا أي مصير يتوخاه هناك يبدو مستحيلاً ولا يرضي طموحه الذي بدأ يكبر بالتضافر مع رغبته في التخلص من الحياة العائلية الواقعة تحت تسلط الأب، وهذا ما يرويه لنا في صفحات تبدو وكأنها مستقاة من عوالم ديكنز، فاتجه في 1892 إلى مدينة تفليس القريبة، عاصمة جورجيا، حيث انضم إلى مدرسة للأوبرا يُعلم فيها الموسيقي الشهير ديمتري أوزاتوف، وبسرعة أصبح عضواً أساسياً في فرقة للغناء الأوبرالي كانت ذات شهرة في ذلك الحين وعرفت باسم “فرقة ماموتوف”. أدوار أساسية وضمن إطار تلك الفرقة، وبفضل إجادته الغناء بما لا يقل عن لغات ثلاث، هي “الروسية، والفرنسية، والإيطالية”، أبدع شاليابين في لعب أدوار أساسية مثل دور فيليب الثاني في “دون كارلوس” لفردي، وإيفان الرهيب في أوبرا “وصيفة بسكوف” لريمسكي كورساكوف، وخصوصاً في الدور الرئيس في أوبرا “بوريس غودونوف”. وهكذا ما أن بدأ القرن الـ20، وبدأ فنا الأوبرا والباليه الروسيان يغزوان العالم الغربي، حتى كان شاليابين في طليعة المغنين الروس الذين بدأوا يفرضون حضورهم في العالم، فراح يتجول مع الفرقة الروسية، بين المدن شتى، حتى كان ظهوره المدوي في لندن في 1914 كما أشرنا أعلاه، ومنذ ذلك الحين، صار شاليابين علماً من أعلام فن الغناء الأوبرالي في العالم. وهو حين بارح وطنه راح يظهر بشكل منتظم مع فرق “المتروبوليتان” و”شيكاغو” في الولايات المتحدة، كما مع فرقة “كوفنت غاردن” في لندن. وخلال فترة من الفترات أسس
