الخليج الجديد / أعاد ناشطون وإعلاميون سعوديون وعرب من جديد إبراز قضية المعتقلين في المملكة وبعض الدول العربية، من بينها مصر، وسط دعوات للإفراج عنهم فورا؛ خوفا من تفشي فيروس “كورونا” بينهم.
إذ أطلق حساب “معتقلي الرأي” في السعودية، الجمعة، حملة بعنوان “قبل الكارثة” تهدف إلى الضغط من أجل الإفراج عن جميع المعتقلين تعسفيا قبل فوات الأوان، في وقت تتمدد فيه جائحة “كورونا” في مختلف أنحاء العالم، ووسط مخاوف من انتشارها داخل السجون.
كان الحساب خص حملته بالمعتقلين في السعودية قبل أن يعممها على جميع المعتقلين في الدول العربية.

وتخشى المنظمات الدولية والحقوقية في العالم من تفشي الفيروس بين المعتقلين السياسيين، وتطالب بصفة خاصة بإطلاق سراح الذين لم تتم محاكمتهم حتى الآن بأي تهم.

والخميس الماضي، طالبت مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان الحكومات في كل العالم بالإفراج عن جميع معتقلي الرأي، في ظل تفشي “كورونا” كوباء عالمي.
ودعت المفوضة الأممية “ميشيل باشيليت” الحكومات إلى اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة لاحتواء تفشي “كورونا”، وحماية صحة وسلامة المحتجزين في السجون وفي المرافق المغلقة الأخرى.
ومن المقرر أن يصدر مكتب الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان ومنظمة الصحة العالمية، هذا الأسبوع، ورقة توجيه مؤقتة خاصة بالمحرومين من حريتهم جراء “كورونا”، تتضمن رسائل وإجراءات رئيسية لوكالات الأمم المتحدة الأخرى، والحكومات والسلطات ذات الصلة، ومؤسسات حقوق الإنسان الحكومية والمجتمع المدني.
