ثقافة و فنونعربي “رسالة إلى هندي” لتولستوي المتأرجح بين موقفين متناقضين by admin 12 يونيو، 2020 written by admin 12 يونيو، 2020 511 يتزعم عنف الطلاب في موسكو ثم يكتب إلى الثوار الهنود ناصحاً بـ”اللا عنف” اندبندنت عربية / إبراهيم العريس باحث وكاتب خلال السنوات الأخيرة من حياته، وإذ صارت أعماله الروائية الكبرى وراءه بعدما تُرجمت إلى عشرات اللغات الأجنبية، جاعلة منه إلى جانب دوستويفسكي الأب الشرعي للرواية الروسية في ذلك الزمن، تحوّل الكاتب الروسي الكبير ليف تولستوي بالتدريج إلى نوع من “ضمير العالم”، وراحت اهتماماته السياسية والاجتماعية تطغى على الإبداعية، في وقت اعتاد أن يكاتبه كبار مفكري وسياسيي العالم، يساجلونه، أو يطلبون النصح، أو يسألونه دعماً معنوياً ليس لأفكارهم فحسب، بل كذلك لتحرّكاتهم في سبيل الحرية والاستقلال، وعلى الضد خصوصاً مطامع الدول الاستعمارية التي كانت إمّا تنهش في بلادهم وخيراتها، وإمّا تتطلع إلى ذلك. وفي هذا السياق نعرف مثلاً تلك المراسلات التي كانت بينه والإمام محمد عبده في مصر. ولنضف هنا تلك المراسلة التي كانت بينه وبعض قيادات التحرّكات الثورية الساعية إلى تحرير الهند من ربقة الاستعمار البريطاني. والحقيقة أن لهذه المراسلة التي شملت الثائر الشاب موهانداس غاندي، في ذلك الحين، حكاية طريفة ربما تكشف في طريقها عن تناقضات صاحب “الحرب والسلام” و”آنا كارينينا” كما سوف نرى بعد سطور. نصيحة إلى الهنود أوج تلك المراسلات يُعرف بـ”رسالة إلى هندي”، وهي رسالة طويلة وجهها تولستوي في الرابع عشر من ديسمبر (كانون الأول) 1908 إلى طاراك ناث داس الذي كان معروفاً بوصفه واحداً من زعماء الحركة الاستقلالية الهندية، وكان هذا قد وجّه قبل ذلك رسالتين إلى الكاتب الروسي، يسأله فيهما النصح بصدد أفضل الطرق للحصول على استقلال الهند، طالباً منه دعماً معنوياً لتلك الغاية. ولقد ردّ تولستوي على ذلك القائد التحرري الهندي عبر نص نشرته على الفور صحيفة “فري هندوستان”، وقال فيه إن السبيل الوحيد لتحرر الشعب الهندي من الربقة البريطانية هو اتباع طريق الحب والسلام، بالتالي لا محادة عن الاكتفاء بالمقاومة التي تخلو من أي عنف، خصوصاً أن ذلك يتلاقى، كما أشار الكاتب المكتهل، مع كل ما تدعو إليه الديانات جميعاً، مؤكداً أن ممارسة الاحتجاج بالإضراب والتظاهر بهدوء توصّل إلى الغاية والنصر في نهاية الأمر. ولا بدّ من أن نضيف هنا أن غاندي الذي كان ينطلق في تحرّكه حينها من حيث يقيم ويعمل في جنوب أفريقيا، تلقف فوراً مواقف تولستوي، وطلب منه الإذن بأن ينشر رسالته في صحيفته “أنديان أوبينيون”. ونعرف أن التراسل تواصل على ذلك الأساس، واتّبع الهنود نصيحة تولستوي، وهو ما اعترفوا بنجاعته حين نالت الهند استقلالها عام 1907. بين اللا عنف الهندي والعنف الموسكوفي غير أن ما نصح به تولستوي في الهند لم يسر هو على هديه قبل ذلك بسنوات قليلة في موسكو، ففي أواسط مارس (آذار) 1901، كانت أعمال عنف طالبية صاخبة قد اندلعت في تلك المدينة، وانتقلت منها إلى كثير من المدن الروسية. وكانت أعمال العنف تلك قد أخذت منحى خطيراً، حين وجدت السلطات الحكومية أنه لم يعد ثمة مفر من التدخل والقمع بكل قوة، وإلا فإنّ الأحداث سوف تتفاقم أكثر وأكثر. فالوضع كان قد وصل إلى ما يشبه نقطة اللا عودة، إذ لم تتردد قوات الأمن في استخدام البندقيات، آملة أن يؤدي جرح وربما قتل عدد من الطلاب الثائرين إلى إرهاب الطلاب وجعلهم يتراجعون. اقرأ المزيد النزاهة المحظورة في “عدو الشعب” لهنريك إبسن “دراسات حول الهستيريا” لفرويد ككتاب أول وكانت الحركة الطالبية قد اندلعت وعنفت بشكل خاص، بعد أن أعلن وزير التربية بوغولوبوف، إجراءات تعسفية جديدة، تشمل الرقابة المتزايدة على الطلاب داخل الجامعات. كان موقف الوزير استفزازيّاً، بينما كان الطلاب يتحرّكون من أجل الحصول على مطالب تتعلق بالحرية والكرامة، لذلك لم يستغرب المراقبون أن يؤدي ذلك إلى اغتيال الوزير المعنيّ على يد طالب ثار غضبه إثر تصريح أدلى به ذلك الوزير، وحمل فيه على الطلاب، متهماً إياهم بالعمل لصالح قوى أجنبية، والرغبة في إثارة الفوضى بالبلاد. ومن الواضح أن اغتيال الوزير أدّى إلى نتيجتين معاً: أولاهما دفع السلطات إلى زيادة حدة عنف القمع الذي تمارسه قوات أمنها، وثانيتهما جعل الطلاب أقدر على التحرك، بعد أن اعتبروا مقتل الوزير انتصاراً لهم. تولستوي يعتلي المتاريس وهكذا، أطلّ الأسبوع الثالث من مارس، وقد ارتفعت حدة الحركة الطالبية لا سيما في موسكو، حيث أقام الطلاب المتاريس، وراحوا يستفزون السلطات الأمنية، وسط مناخ راح فيه كثير من المثقفين والفنانين ينضمون إلى الطلاب. ولئن كان هؤلاء قد فوجئوا بشكل إيجابي بتدفق المثقفين لدعم صفوفهم، فإن مفاجأتهم الكبرى كانت حين ظهر في صفوفهم شيخٌ في الثالثة والسبعين من عمره، أنهكه المرض والتعب، لكن ذلك لم يثنه عن الانضمام إلى الطلاب في متاريسهم، رغم البرد وتساقط الثلوج. كان ذلك الشيخ الكاتب الكبير ليون تولستوي، الذي راحت تقارير الشرطة تبلغ قيادات الأمن الموسكوفية، عن وجوده فوق المتاريس دعماً للطلاب. كانت تلك الأحداث بالنسبة إلى تولستوي مناسبة يعبّر فيها من ناحية عن تأييده الطلاب الثائرين، ومن ناحية ثانية عن غضبه على السلطات الرسمية والكنسية التي كانت في الشهر الفائت قد أصرّت على حرمانه “من رحمة الكنيسة”، في وقت كان المرض يشتد عليه. ولقد رأى تولستوي في ذلك الحرمان ظلماً ما بعده ظلم. فهو لئن كان في رواية “البعث” قد هاجم الكنيسة، وليس الدين بالطبع، فإنه ما لبث أن عاد إلى حماها مستغفراً بشكل من الأشكال، وأمضى السنوات العشرين التالية من دون أن يتعرّض للكنيسة. غير أن ذلك لم يشفع له في وقت كانت السلطات ترى أنه قد يشكل خطراً بسبب إعجاب الطلاب به. لكن، بدلاً من أن يؤدي ذلك الحرمان بما فيه من منع تداول كتبه، إلى إخافته، جعله ينتفض، خصوصاً أن ألوف الطلاب راحوا يؤمّون بيته خلال الأسابيع التي تلت صدور القرار بحرمانه. وهكذا حين انتفض الطلاب ضد السلطات القيصرية شاء تولستوي أن يردّ تحية الطلاب له بأحسن منها، فحمل أمراضه وتعبه وسنوات عمره المتقدمة، وتوجّه إلى المتاريس، مشاركاً الطلاب تمردهم، وظل يعتلي المتاريس طوال أسبوع بكامله، حتى أربك السلطات وشرطتها. فهي كانت عاجزة عن إلحاق أي أذى به، هو الذي كان يحظى بسمعة عالمية، أعطته حصانة أكيدة. قوة السنوات الأخيرة بالتالي، أحسّ تولستوي بقوته، وراح يخطب يومياً في الطلاب، مندداً بـ”التصنيع الذي ينزع عن الطبيعة جمالها”، وبـ”هراوات رجال الشرطة التي تخبط رؤوس الطلاب من دون هوادة”، وهو اختار ذلك الوقت بالذات، لكي يذيع على الملأ بياناً ردّ فيه بعنف على “قرار المجمع المقدس”. وخلاصته، أنه “لن يدين إلا بما يعتقد أنه الحق، وما يملك أن يذعن لغير ما اطمأن إليه قلبه وعقله”، قائلاً: “إني أحبّ الحق أكثر مما أحبّ أي شيء آخر في هذه الدنيا، والحق عندي حتى الآن هو ما يطابق المسيحية كما أفهمها، وإني لأتعلق بهذه المسيحية، وبقدر تعلقي بها يكون هدوء نفسي وسعادة روحي، وبهذا الهدوء وهذه السعادة أقرب من الموت”. وهكذا عبر هذه المواقف اعتبر الطلاب الروس، في تلك الأيام الصعبة، تولستوي زعيماً لهم، وهو غرف من تلك الزعامة حتى الثمالة، وكان منظره “مهيباً ورائعاً” حسب وصف أحد المراسلين الأميركيين الذي كان يعاين الأمور ميدانياً، حين كان يقف فوق المتراس صارخاً وغاضباً، متحدياً رجال الشرطة، بينما كانت تعليمات حكومتهم واضحة: إياكم وإيذاء هذا الرجل مهما فعل، لأن إيذاءه سوف يجر غضب العالم كله على الحكومة الروسية، ويعطي لحركة الطلاب زخماً عالمياً لا يمكن لنا أن نجابهه. بقي أن
