وأوضح المصدر أن هذه الإفرازات أو ما يعرف بـ”حليب الحلزون” مفيدة جدا في العناية بالجسم، فهي تساعد على تأخير علامات الشيخوخة، كما تمنح البشرة نضارة لافتة.
ويجري استخراج إفراز الحلزون وهو عبارة عن مخاط، ويزيد سعر هذه المادة على الذهب، وتشير التقديرات إلى أن تجارتها العالمية صارت تضاهي 314 مليون دولار في العالم.
وفي إقليم ناخون نايوك، الذي يبعد بساعتين عن عاصمة تايلاند، توجد حاليا أكثر من 80 مزرعة مخصصة للحلزون.
وتقول باتينيسيري تانغكيو، وهي مدرسة في الأصل، إنها بدأت عملها في هذا المجال من خلال شراءالحيوان الرخوي من مزارعي الأرز الذين كانوا يسعون إلى التخلص من الحلزون.
وتدفع السيدة دولارا واحدا مقابل الكيلوغرام، ثم تقوم باستخراج الإفراز الذي تبحث عنه الشركات المختصة في صناعة مستحضرات التجميل.
وأضافت أن المزارعين كانوا يلقون الحلزون على قارعة الطريق أو في الأنهار، لكنهم صاروا يكسبون المال من خلال بيعها.
ويقول العاملون في هذه الزراعة إنها لا تلحق أي أذى أو تعذيب بالحيوان، لأنها تجري من خلال سكب الماء على الحيوان الرخوي الذي يقوم بالإفراز، على نحو تلقائي، وبالتالي، فهو لا يتعرض للقتل.
وحين يدخل هذا المخاط في صناعة “ماسك” الوجه، فإن سعر المنتج يصل في بعض الأحيان إلى 300 دولار.
