ألمى حسون – BBC – لندن / كانت الساعة حوالي الرابعة بعد الظهر عندما عاد “زهر” ذو العشر سنوات من المدرسة إلى بيت عائلته غربي لندن؛ أصدقاؤه في الحي يلعبون الكرة لكنه اضطر لتجاهل دعواتهم للعب كي يريني الأوراق الخمسة التي كان قد حضّرها لي كما وعد أمه.
تلك الأوراق شغلت بال كثير من العائلات في لندن فهي تتناول مواضيع تتعلق بالثقافة الجنسية التي يتعلمها التلاميذ في المدارس الابتدائية – إن وافق أهلهم – وتستمر بعد ذلك في الإعدادية.
شرح لي “زهر” (اسم مستعار للصبي البريطاني-السوري) كيف وقّعت أمه ورقة لتسمح له بحضور الدرس الذي استمر نحو 4 ساعات، فصلت فيه البنات عن الصبيان في قاعتين مختلفتين. قال لي بالإنجليزية: “كنا خجلانين فقط قبل الدرس. المعلمة طلبت منا ما نخبّر الطلاب يلي أهلهم منعوهم من حضور الدرس عن أي شي تعلمناه احتراما لقرار الأهل”.
تذكرني الرسوم ببرنامج أطفال تلفزيوني مدبلج كنا نراه في التسعينيات اسمه “كان يا ماكان.. الحياة”؛ حيث كان يشرح بطريقة مرحة مبسطة حقائق علمية؛ فالورقة الأولى تعرض رسوما لجسم الإنسان تظهر تنوع أشكال الجسد، أما البقية فعن الدورة الشهرية، وعن آلية الحمل والولادة. في ورقة الحمل، مثلا، تبدأ الرسوم الكرتونية ببويضة تتزين وتضع العطر وهي تتهيأ لقدوم الحيوانات المنوية.
لكن مؤخرا اتسع نطاق الجدل بسبب هذه الدروس في المرحلة الابتدائية وذلك مع صدور توجيه حكومي حول منهج جديد هو تدريس “العلاقات”، ومن ضمنها العلاقات المثلية، بشكل إلزامي في كل مدارس بريطانيا الابتدائية اعتبارا من سبتمبر/أيلول 2020. ورأى بعض الأهالي أن هناك “مبالغة” في التركيز على تدريس هذه المواضيع في المدارس.

“لم أعد أعرف إن كان لي حق تكفله الدولة هنا أم لا، فأنا كأم بريطانية لا أرغب بهذا الموضوع في هذا العمر، قد أرغب به عندما يصبح الطفل واعيا وقادرا على التمييز”، تقول لي سراب (اسم مستعار لأم فلسطينية-بريطانية في الـ 32 من عمرها) والتي رفضت الكشف عن هويتها – فمثل هذه المواضيع حساسة في المجتمع البريطاني خاصة وأنها قد ترتبط بمواضيع رهاب المثلية وخطاب الكراهية.
“المنهج تغير لأن العالم تغير”
في فبراير/شباط من هذا العام، أصدرت وزارة التعليم مسودة دليل إرشادي حول تعليم طلاب المدارس مواضيع تتعلق بالعلاقات والتربية الجنسية.
ووفقا للمسودة (التي جاءت في 50 صفحة) يتضمن موضوع تدريس العلاقات مواضيع الصداقة والاحترام وكيف تبنى علاقات صحية، والاستخدام الآمن للانترنيت والأشكال المتنوعة للعائلات (كأن يكون أحد الوالدين أعزبا، التبني، أن يكون الأهل مثليون، وغير ذلك).
كما جاء فيها بوضوح أنه يتوجب على المدرسين مراعاة الفئة العمرية، واحترام الخلفيات الثقافية المتعددة ومعتقدات أهالي الطلاب الدينية.
في عام 1988، في عهد رئيسة وزراء بريطانيا السابقة مارغريت تاتشر، منع تدريس مواضيع تعتبر “ترويجا للمثلية الجنسية” واستمر الأمركذلك حتى عام 2003.
واليوم يقول وزير التربية السابق داميان هيندز “إن المنهج قد تغير لأن العالم قد تغير. نريد أطفالنا أن يكبروا وهم يدركون أن هناك أشخاصا يختلفون عنهم وأن هناك أنواعا مختلفة للعلاقات عن تلك التي يعرفونها”.
علمتُ عن اجتماع في بلدية كنسينغتون غربي لندن في منتصف شهر يوليو/تموز، طالب سكان المنطقة بعقده لإيصال أصواتهم إلى مسؤولين حكوميين، وعند وصولي قيل لي إن الصحفيين ممنوعون من الدخول؛ فالاجتماع مقتصر على رجال الدين وأشخاص فاعلين في المجتمع المحلي ليتكلموا بحرية عن آرائهم – فلجأت للحديث مع أمهات يعشن في مدن بريطانية مختلفة وينتمين لخلفيات ثقافية مختلفة.
وكحال الأمهات الإنجليزيات اللاتي اعترض بعضهن على هذا المنهج في حين رأته أخريات أمرا عاديا، تعددت مواقف الأمهات البريطانيات من أصول عربية لتتنوع تجاربهن.
“الله لا يحب هذا”
تعمل عربية العلوي (42 عاما) مربية أطفال في لندن منذ 13 عاما بعد أن غادرت تونس حيث كانت تدّرس اللغة الفرنسية. قالت لي إنها بداية شعرت “بالصدمة” عندما سمعت عن القرار الجديد خاصة أن لديها ابنة بعمر خمس سنوات، لكنها ناقشت الأمر مع بعض الأصدقاء وقرأت عنه وفكرت به فتوصلت إلى أن ابنتها “ستأخذ المعلومة من الخارج بما في ذلك المدرسة بكل الأحوال، وهي كأم دورها أن تؤطر تلك المعلومات في البيت”.
“نحن في لندن، كل شي مكشوف”، تقول لي وهي تسرد مواقف مرت بها مع ابنتها عندما كانتا في القطار وقبالتهما رجلان يتبادلان القبل، وعندما مرّتا صدفة في مركز لندن أثناء مسيرة Pride للمثليين ومواقف مشابهة.
طريقة تفكريرها قريبة من النموذج السائد في فرنسا: على القادمين إلى المجتمع الفرنسي الاندماج وتبنى أسلوب الحياة الفرنسي في المؤسسات العامة، بما في ذلك المدارس، مع إمكانية المحافظة على العادات الثقافية وممارسة الشعائر الدينية – لكن ضمن حدود البيت.
تقول عربية: “التربية الإسلامية شيء خاص بنا؛ نحتفل بعيدي الأضحى والفطر. وأخبر ابنتي أننا لا نأكل لحم الخنزير ولا نشرب الكحول.. ولا مشكلة لدي في الحديث عن العلاقات الإنسانية المختلفة؛ إن سألتني لا أكذب عليها، أكون واقعية وأقول لها مثلا إن الله لا يحب هذا الأمر لكن علينا أن نكون طيبين مع الجميع”.
تتبع بريطانيا نموذج التعددية الثقافية، إذ تسمح للمجموعات المتنوعة بالتعبير علنا عن ثقافاتها وعاداتها ورموزها الدينية حتى في المؤسسات الحكومية؛ فالمسلمات مثلا لديهن حرية ارتداء البوركيني في المسابح، وفي لندن أحياء تقطنها غالبية يهودية ترتدي رموزها الدينية علنا، وأمثلة أخرى كثيرة.
وتطبق وزارة التعليم مبدأ التمييز الإيجابي (Positive Action) في المدارس لمنع تعرض مجموعة لنوع من الظلم بسبب سمات معينة لديها تعرف بالـ “السمات المحمية” وتشمل العمر والجنس والعرق والدين والإعاقة والجندر والتوجه الجنسي.
وتعتقد يمان (اسم مستعار)، والتي جاءت من الأردن إلى لندن قبل عشرين عاما، أنه لو كانت هناك مواد تعليمية تتحدث عن موضوع المثلية والتحول الجنسي “لكان الأمر أسهل على الجميع”.
فبحكم عملها مع جمعية حقوقية اقتربت من أشخاص مثليي الجنس وكونت صداقات مع عدد منهم، واستطاعت أن تفهم أكثر ما يمرون به. “تربينا على فكرة المحرّمات والمسلّمات الدينية”، تقول يمان (وهي أم لشابين في الـ 19 و 21)، وتضيف أن أهلها عندما تزورهم اليوم يرفضون حتى سماع رأيها بأمور دينية مثل المساواة في الميراث لأن ذلك “حرام”.
هي مدركة لحقيقة أن طريقة تفكيرها “تختلف تماما” عن طريقة تفكير أبنائها الذين عاشوا في بريطانيا، وتتذكر حوارا دار بينها وبين ابنها قبل سنوات قليلة – وتقول إنها لم تكن جاهزة له.
“ماما، لو قلتلك أنا gay كيف بتتصرفي؟”
“ولا شي. عادي. رح ضل حبك”
“ما تقلقي أنا مش gay. بس بابا قلي بقتلك إذا بتقلي هيك”.

“لن أرسل ابنتي للمدرسة إن مضوا بالقرار”
يبدو أن ما يحصل اليوم هو أشبه بصدام بين مجموعتين “محميتين”؛ متدينون (من مختلف الأديان) يعتبرون أن تدريس المثلية الجنسية يخالف معتقداتهم، ومثليون يطالبون بالتوعية لحقوقهم من سن مبكرة.
تقول سراب، وكانت قد درست إدارة الأعمال في غزة: “من حقنا أن نعترض، وأعرف أن من حقهم (المثليين) أن يطالبوا بفرض تدريس المقرر. نحن لا نجبرهم على أن يكونوا مسلمين، لكن عندما أجبر طفلا على تعلم أفكار عن المثلية بعمر مبكر وهو ليس بسن الإدراك فيعتقد أن بإمكانه تجريب ذلك”.
لذا قررت سراب (اسم مستعار) ألا ترسل ابنتها إلى المدرسة رغم أن من حولها اعتبرها “أنانية”، كما تقول. “سيشكل هذا ضغطا نفسيا عليّ؛ لأن قرار التعليم المنزلي يعني أن أفتح مدرسة في البيت. في حال عدلوا عن هذا القرار فسنوفر جهدا كبيرا ماديا ومعنويا، وسأطمئن على ابنتي التي ستتعلم كل شيء”.
وتوضّح لي أنها لا تريد أن تنشأ ابنتها كأقاربها الصغار في غزة، فهناك لا يتطرق الأهالي ولا المدرسة لمواضيع مثل المثلية، أما هي فتريد أن تجيب على أسئلة ابنتها بما يناسب عمرها.
يرى عدي الزعبي، وهو كاتب من سوريا درس في جامعة Norwich البريطانية، أنه لا يوجد جواب واضح ونهائي في قضايا تتعلق بالعلاقة بين الحكومة والجماعات المتعددة في الدولة.
“يجب أن تناقش كل حالة وحدها وبهدوء. أحياناً يكون تدخل الحكومة غير مقبول، وفي أحيان أخرى يكون مرغوبا بشدة. فأنا مثلا لا أعتقد أن منع النقاب في دول أوروبية يتوافق مع مفهوم الحريات الفردية؛ ولكن في موضوع تدريس العلاقات المثلية فأعتقد أن فرضها سيعني التقليل من اضطهاد المثليين، وسيؤدي إلى تقبل وجودهم حتى داخل المجتمعات التي ما تزال غير متفهمة لهم”، وفقا لعدي.
“ألا تثقين بالحكومة؟”
لكن رفض تعليم مواضيع العلاقات في المرحلة الابتدائية لا يقتصر على أشخاص من الجاليات العربية أو المسلمة فقط.
عبرواتساب تقول لي الإنجليزية كارين لوي (35 عاما) إنها لا تعتقد أن المدرسة الإبتدائية يجب أن تكون مسؤولة عن تعليم الأطفال كل شيء، فهذه مسؤولية الأهل أيضا.
تصف كارين نفسها بأنها غير مؤمنة في حين أن عائلتها تؤمن بالمسيحية، وعندما سألتها “ألا تثقين بأن وزارة التعليم تعرف ما تقوم به؟”، أجابتني: “خلال السنوات الأخيرة اتخذت الحكومة عددا من القرارت الخاطئة والتي تسببت بكثير من الألم في البلاد وانتهى بهم الأمر إلى تبادل الاتهامات ولوم بعضهم البعض. كل هذا أدى إلى مزيد من الانقسام في مجتمعنا المتنوع”.
