سكاي نيوز عربية – أبوظبي / بخلاف الأعراض التي كانت معروفة سابقا عند الإصابة بفيروس كورونا المستجد، مثل ارتفاع درجة الحرارة والسعال الجاف، كشف أطباء عن وجود أعراض جديدة تميز المرض.
وقال الطبيب الاستشاري البريطاني المختص في أمراض الأنف والأذن والحنجرة نيرمال كومار، لقناة “سكاي نيوز”، إن فقدان حاستي الشم والتذوق، يعد مؤشرا جديدا على الإصابة بفيروس كورونا.

وكانت الأعراض المعروفة للإصابة بالمرض الفتاك تتراوح بين الحمى والسعال وضيق التنفس والشعور بالإرهاق، ولم يكن من بينها فقدان حاستي الشم والتذوق.
لكن كومار قال إن “المريض الذي يعاني من فقدان حاستي الشم والتذوق، قد يكون مصابا أيضا بفيروس كوفيد 19”.
وأضاف: “قد لا تظهر على المريض بالضرورة أعراض السعال والحمى. لذلك يجب على من يشعرون بفقدان حاستي الشم والتذوق اللجوء إلى العزل الذاتي”.
وختم قائلا: “هذا دليل جديد على الإصابة بفيروس كورونا”.
وتجاوز عدد الوفيات بفيروس كورونا في العالم حتى الآن حاجز الـ3 آلاف شخص، فيما اقترب عدد المصابين من 310 آلاف.
