اندبندنت عربية \ إبراهيم العريس باحث وكاتب من المعروف أن شهرة وتأثير كتاب “المجتمع المفتوح وأعداؤه” للفيلسوف النمساوي كارل بوبر قد غلبا على شهرة مؤلفاته الأخرى، إلى درجة أن ثمة من يعتقد عادة بأنه لم يصدر غيره متلهياً بالتدريس الجامعي والأبحاث والمعارك السياسية والأيديولوجية، التي أمضى حياته وهو يخوضها ضد عدد من مفكرين وفلاسفة كبار دائماً ما اعتبرهم أعداءً له بوصفهم أعداءً للمجتمع المفتوح، الذي راهن عليه معتبراً إياه المجتمع الوحيد الذي يليق بالإنسان ولا سيما بفردية الإنسان. ضد أفلاطون وماركس معاً ولئن كان في ذلك الاعتقاد ظلم للعديد من المؤلفات التي وضعها بوبر طوال حياته، فإن الإحساس بالظلم يتضاعف بالنسبة إلى كتاب من كتب بوبر بالتحديد هو “بؤس التاريخانية”، الذي يكاد يكون استكمالاً لا بد منه لـ”المجتمع المفتوح وأعداؤه”. بمعنى أن قراءة هذا الكتاب الأخير لا تستقيم معنى ومبنى إن لم يُقرأ كمقدمة لـ”بؤس التاريخانية”. وهنا قبل أن نستطرد في تقديم هذا الكتاب، سيكون من المفيد أن نذكر أنه حين تُرجم إلى العربية وصدر فيها، جعلت له دور النشر العربية عنواناً آخر لا شك أن من شأنه أن يضيّع القارئ، خصوصاً أن ثمة في ذلك الإبدال من التاريخانية إلى الأيديولوجية نقلاً لفكر الكتاب من البعد المفهومي العلمي إلى بعد أيديولوجي، يصادر على الموضوع الحقيقي له منذ البداية مصادرة ديماغوجية فاضحة. ففيما ينسب بوبر البؤس إلى مفهوم علمي هو التاريخانية لينتقدها مستكملاً هجومه الساحق على أعداء المجتمع المفتوح، الذين ركز عمله عليهم في الكتاب الأول، لا سيما منهم أفلاطون وهيغل وماركس وصولاً إلى فرويد، نجده في الترجمة العربية وقد ارتدى فكره مسوح الصراع الديماغوجي المحدد سلفاً ضد الأيديولوجيا نفسها كمذهب لا كمفهوم. ولا ريب أن الفارق في منتهى الأهمية بالنسبة إلى فيلسوف كان، إلى نزعته السجالية، بالغ الاهتمام بالتقنية. ومن هنا يبدو الحديث لديه عن التاريخانية حديثاً فكرياً مفهومياً بينما الحديث عن الأيديولوجيا حديثاً سياسياً له آنيته، ما يعيدنا إلى التاريخانية وإن بشكل موارب على الرغم من أنف بوبر نفسه. دور الأفراد في التاريخ وهنا لا بد من التذكير بجوهر هذا الجزء المكمل من الكتاب. وهو جوهر ينطلق من واقع أن المفهوم التاريخاني إنما هو ذاك الذي يقول إن التاريخ نفسه يجري وفقاً لقوانين محددة وإن كانت عامة يحدث لعموميتها هذه أن تحولها إلى تاريخ تكون هي من تحدث عن “حتمية مساره”، بالتالي “إمكان التنبؤ” به. ومن هنا نجد بوبر بعدما كان في الكتاب الأول، الذي تحدثنا عنه في حلقة سابقة من هذه السلسلة، قد تفحص النزعة التاريخانية منظوراً إليها من خلال أولئك المفكرين الثلاثة الكبار الذين كانوا أقطابه على مدى التاريخ (أفلاطون، هيغل وماركس)، ينصرف هنا في الكتاب الثاني إلى تفنيد النزعة التاريخانية، علمياً لا سياسياً أو أيديولوجياً، انطلاقاً من فكرة أساسية يدافع عنها، فحواها أن التقدم التاريخي لا يمكنه أن يكون إلا نتيجة لتطور العلم وتقدمه. وبالنسبة إلى بوبر، ليس ثمة مفر من الفكر الذي يعتبر العلم أمراً يتوقف تطوره على الذكاء الخارق لأفراد مميزين من الناس، لعبقريات فردية وبالتالي فإن التقدم العلمي ليس أمراً حتمياً وتلقائياً، بل هو تطور يتواكب مع تلك الجهود الفردية التي تنتمي إلى الصدفة بأكثر ما تنتمي إلى الضرورة. حرية الفرد في سلوك درب التطور ومن هنا لم يكن غريباً أن يتوصل بوبر إلى الاستنتاج الذي يلخصه قائلاً: “إن نصير نظرة التطور الذي يؤكد على التحكم العلمي في الطبيعة الإنسانية لا يدرك ما في هذا الطلب من دعوة إلى الانتحار. فالباعث على التطور والتقدم هو تنوع المادة التي يمكن أن تكون موضوعاً للانتخاب الطبيعي. وهذا الباعث في حالة التطور الإنساني هو حرية الشخص في الانفراد بصفة من الصفات وحريته في الاختلاف عن جاره” – “حريته في عدم موافقة الغالبية والسير في طريقه الخاص”. “أما التحكم الكلي الذي يؤدي إلى المساواة بين العقول بدلاً من أن يؤدي إلى المساواة بين الحقوق، فمعناه القضاء على التقدم”. هذه الفقرة التي يختم بها – تقريباً – كارل بوبر الفصل الأخير من “بؤس التاريخانية”، تعتبر مفتاحاً أساسياً لفهم أفكاره، تلك الأفكار التي نالت شعبية كبيرة، منذ عبّر عنها في 1945 عبر كتابه “المجتمع المفتوح وأعداؤه”، الذي اعتُبر على الدوام واحداً من أفضل الردود على نظريات التقدم التاريخاني، وجعل لكارل بوبر شهرة كبيرة بوصفه مفكراً ليبرالياً ذا نزعة إنسانية كما أشرنا في مجالات أخرى. ويرى بوبر أن أعداء المجتمع المفتوح هم أعداء الإنسانية كذلك “لأنهم، إذ اعتقدوا أن التاريخ يخضع لقوانين حديدية أرادوا أن يخضعوا الإنسانية، بالتالي الأفراد، لهذه القوانين عينها”. ومن هنا وصل بوبر عبر نقده لهذا الثلاثي إلى نبذ فكرة الحتمية التاريخية، مبرهناً أن مستقبل الإنسان بين يديه، وأنه لا توجد أية قوانين مسبقة تحكم ذلك المصير. ضد العلوم الكاذبة كارل بوبر، الذي رحل عن عالمنا عام 1994 عن عمر يناهز الـ87، نمساوي الأصل، ولد في فيينا، وبدأ حياته الفكرية مهتماً بأينشتاين وماركس، كما بفرويد وآدلر، ثم بدأ يصيغ أفكاره الرئيسة حول ما كان يعتبره فارقاً جذرياً بين العلم الحقيقي والعلم الكاذب، حيث برهن، كما يقول محبذوه، أن علم الفلك والتحليل النفسي الفرويدي والماركسية ليست سوى علوم كاذبة، لأنها تختلف عن علوم حقيقية مثل علم الفضاء والسيكولوجيا التجريبية. وإضافة إلى هذا، برهن بوبر باكراً على الفشل الحتمي لكل المجتمعات المؤطرة سياسياً بشكل نظري مسبق. وبرأي بوبر، فإن ما يميز العلم الحقيقي هو أن بإمكاننا ضمن إطاره أن نقيّم التجارب التي تصل إلى رفض النظريات غير الصحيحة، طالما أن العلم صحيح وحسابي، أما النظريات كافة التي تقف خارج العلم فمن غير الممكن البرهنة على صحتها أو على خطئها وذلك لمجرد أنها غير دقيقة وغير حسابية. فالعلم يمكنه أن يقول لنا بكل دقة المدى الزمني الذي يحتاجه صاروخ للوصول إلى القمر. أما من ناحية الاقتصاد، فإن علم الاقتصاد لا يمكنه أن يقول لنا متى يزيد التضخم أو ينقص، بصورة محددة، والماركسية لا يمكنها أن تقول لنا متى يبدأ حكم البروليتاريا حقاً. المفكر الذي غزا لندن وبمثل هذا النوع من الأفكار “غزا” كارل بوبر الحلقات الثقافية في لندن، لا سيما حين حيّاه برتراند راسل، معتبراً كتابه “المجتمع المفتوح وأعداؤه” “دفاعاً عن الديمقراطية، قوياً وعميقاً في الآن عينه”. في لندن واعتباراً من 1945، بنى كارل بوبر لنفسه حياة جديدة، هو الذي كان قد قطع مع “حلقة فيينا” أواخر سنوات الثلاثين ثم اختلف مع زملائه من منظري الوضعية المنطقية حين وضع كتابه “منطق الاكتشاف العلمي” (1934)، والذي كان بعد مبارحته فيينا قد توجه إلى نيوزيلندا حيث عاش حتى 1945 وعلّم في جامعتها. إذاً في 1945 عين بوبر مدرساً في جامعة لندن، ثم ترأس “الجمعية البريطانية لفلسفة العلوم”، وأصدر العديد من الكتب وألقى محاضرات في الولايات المتحدة، حيث استقبل على الدوام بوصفه أحد ممثلي الليبرالية المحافظة. أما هو فكان يعتبر نفسه فيلسوفاً أنوار حقيقي بحسب ما يروي الباحث الفرنسي غي سورمان – من آخر الذين كتبوا عنه، بعد أن التقاه في لندن قبل فترة يسيرة على رحيله: “أنا آخر التنويريين” فـ”من دون تواضع أو خيلاء، أنا الأخير بين فلاسفة الأنوار: لست باني أنظمة، ولا نبياً، لكني رجل ارتبطت طوال حياتي بحل المشكلات. إنني أعتبر نفسي منتمياً إلى تقاليد كانط وفولتير، اللذين كانا يُخضعان للتفحص العقلي كل ما يتعلق بالفلسفة كما بالرياضات والعلوم الطبيعية”. أما ماركس، فظل بوبر يقول عنه، حتى أيامه الأخيرة، إنه “مع هيغل، أسس لعصورنا الحديثة، عبادة الأفكار المجردة: دين الدولة والأمة، والبروليتاريا. ولقد كانت نجاحات أفكاره من المباغتة بحيث حالت دون متبنيها والتفكير فيها. كانت نجاحات جعلت أصحاب العقول الساذجة يعتقدون أن بإمكانهم أن
