والبداية لصحيفة الغارديان، التي نشرت على صفحتها الأولى تقريرا لجيم ووترسون، محرر شؤون الإعلام بعنوان “حليف رئيس الوزراء يدير شبكة للتضليل على فيسبوك”.
وتقول الصحيفة إن شركة “سي تي اف بارتنرز” للدعاية والعلاقات العامة، التي يديرها سير لينتون كروسبي، الحليف المقرب لرئيس الوزراء البريطاني بوريس جونسون، بنت شبكة للتضليل تقدم موادا للدعاية على أنها أخبار حقيقية على فيسبوك.
ويقول الكاتب إن تحقيقا موسعا أجرته الصحيفة، وتضمن لقاءات مع موظفين حاليين وسابقين في الشركة ودراسة مستفيضة لاستراتيجياتها كشف أنها تقدم “تضليلا احترافيا على الإنترنت”، وأنها قبلت عملاء مثيرين للجدل، كما أن بعض موظفاتها تعرضن للتنمر المعادي للمرأة.
وتقول الصحيفة إن الشركة حصلت على مئات الملايين من الجنيهات الاسترلينية من الحكومة السعودية لتلميع صورة ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان، الذي “تورط لاحقا في مقتل الصحفي جمال خاشقجي”.
وتقول الصحيفة أيضا إن الشركة عملت أيضا مع حزب رئيس الوزراء الماليزي السابق نجيب رزاق، الذين أدين لاحقا في واحدة من أكبر فضائح الفساد في العالم.
موت حمزة بن لادن

وفي صحيفة ديلي تلغراف نطالع تقريرا لبن فارمر من إسلام أباد بعنوان “موت حمزة بن لادن ليس ضربة قاتلة للقاعدة”. ويقول الكاتب إن مقتل حمزة يمثل ضربة رمزية للقاعدة، ولكن تأثيره العملي محدود على تنظيم القاعدة “المقاوم للصدمات”، حسبما قال خبراء في مجال الجماعات الإرهابية.
ويضيف أن موت حمزة ينهي حلم الجماعات الإرهابية في أن يخلف الإبن أباه في زعامة تنظيم القاعدة، الذي كان في السابق التنظيم الإرهابي الأكثر الشهرة في العالم.
وكان يجري إعداد بن لادن الصغير، الذي كان في نحو الثلاثين، لتولي زعامة التنظيم، وليمثل جيلا شابا جديدا في صدارة التنظيم، حسب الكاتب.
ويقول فارمر إن المسؤولين الأمريكيين لم يعطوا الكثير من التفاصيل عن موت نجل زعيم تنظيم القاعدة، وقالوا فقط إنه توفي العامين الأولين لإدارة الرئيس دونالد ترامب.

وقال الخبير الأمني الباكستاني رحمن الله يوسفزاي، الذي كان من الصحفيين النادرين الذين أجروا مقابلة وجها لوجه مع أسامة بن لادن “أعتقد أنه خسارة كبيرة للقاعدة. إنهم في حاجة إلى شخص أصغر وأكثر نشاطا”.

وتقول الصحيفة إنه في شهر يونيو/حزيران تم افتتاح مركز تبلغ تكلفته 20 مليون جنيه استرليني للتكنولوجيا والأبحاث الخاصة لبستنخدام تكنولوجيا “لايدر”، وهي التكنولوجيا الخاصة بإدراك المسافات والمساحات المختلفة التي يتم تطويرها للسيارات ذاتية القيادة، للمساعدة في رعاية المرضى المصابين بالخرف في المنزل.
ومن التقنيات الجديدة التي يتم بحثها تطبيق للهواتف الذكية يذكر المصابين بالخرف بكيفية القيام بالمهام اليومية الأساسية.
وقال ديفيد شارب، مدير المركز الجديد، إن نحو ما بين 85 في المئة و90 في المئة من مرضى الخرف يفضلون البقاء في منازلهم لأطول وقت ممكن قبل الانتقال إلى مركز للرعاية.
ويطور المركز أجهزة للاستشعار يتم تثبيتها على الجسم أو في المنزل لقياس المؤشرات الحيوية مثل النبض وضغط الدم ودرجة حرارة الجسم، كما أنها ستقدم معلومات عن نشاط المخ وانتظام النوم. وعادة ما يصاب مرضى الخرف باضطرابات في النوم، وستساعد أجهزة الاستشعار في الحد من الاضطرابات.
