أحمد الخطيب – BBC / في 2 يوليو- تموز – قبل 101 عام، ولد إمام محمد عيسى، المعروف بالشيخ إمام، في إحدى قرى الريف المصري. وفي صغره أصيبت عيناه بالرمد، وعلى طريقة الدكتور طه حسين، فقد الصبي بصره وذهب إلى كُتّاب القرية لحفظ القرآن كعادة كثير من المكفوفين في الريف المصري في ذلك الوقت.
وتميز الشيخ إمام بذاكرة قوية، وحفظ القرآن، وبات والده يتوسم فيه مستقبلا مشرقا، ولكن أهل قريته أمسكوا به ذات يوم يستمع إلى القرآن عبر أثير الراديو، الذي كان في ذلك الزمان بدعة من الموبقات. وقد حاولوا منعه، لكنه أظهر إصرارا وعنادا فكان مصيره الطرد من القرية، وقد حذره والده من العودة إليها.
وهكذا وجد الصبي الكفيف نفسه في قلب القاهرة الهادر، حيث آوى إلى عدد من أبناء قريته يعيشون في حارة “حوش قدم” بحي الغورية العتيق بالقاهرة.
ومن حجرة متواضعة في تلك الحارة، ظل الشيخ إمام يصول ويجول بأناشيده الدينية، وأغانيه الحماسية والسياسية التي تنتقد الواقع، حتى نهاية حياته.
ولكي يعيش كان لابد للشيخ إمام أن يتعلم ما يسدّ به رمقه؛ وكان الإنشاد بابا رحبا أمام الشيخ، وعرف طريق شيوخ الإنشاد والموسيقى والغناء في ذلك الزمان، ومنهم درويش الحريري ثم زكريا أحمد.
وعلى يد كامل الحمصاني قرر الشيخ إمام أن يتعلم العزف على العود الذي استعان به في حياته، فجعل يؤلف ويلحن لنفسه متخذا من أهل حارة حوش قدم جمهورا بل وموضوعا لأغانيه.
وبالعودة إلى التاريخ، فإن أحجار المعابد الفرعونية تحدثنا عن رسم لعازف أعمى. ويقول متخصصون إن الوليد المكفوف في مصر القديمة كان مرشحا بقوة ليكون عازفا موسيقيا؛ ذلك أن المصريين القدماء كانوا يرون أن الموسيقي لا بد أن يمتلك مقدارا من الشفافية يؤهله للإبحار بسلام في عالم الموسيقى وهو ما يتميز به مكفوفو البصر من الذكور.
وفي حضن الحارة الكادحة، وفي فترة تاريخية زاخرة بالأحداث والتحولات السياسية والاجتماعية التي تركت جموع الشعب في دوامة من الحيرة، وجد الشيخ إمام – الذي وُصف بالثائر الذي لا يهادن- نفسه في مواجهة محتومة مع السلطة آنذاك.
وفي عام 1963، كان لقاءٌ مع الشاعر أحمد فؤاد نجم (الفاجومي)، صاحب النشأة التي لا تختلف كثيرا عن نشأة الشيخ المغني صاحب العود.
ومن أشهر الأغاني الوطنية التي كتبها نجم وتغنى بها الشيخ إمام:
مصر يا امّة يا بهية يام طرحة و جلابية
الزمن شاب و انتي شابة هو رايح و انتي جاية
جايه فوق الصعب ماشية فات عليكي ليل و مية
و احتمالك هو هو و ابتسامتك هى هى تضحكي للصبح يصبح
بعد ليلة و مغربية تطلع الشمس تلاقيكي معجبانية و صبية
وفي كلمات الفاجومي، وجد الشيخ إمام عيونا يهتدي بها في دوائر حياته المتشابكة. وكوّن الثنائي حالة فريدة في تاريخ الأغنية السياسية الشعبية إذا جاز التعبير. وظلا رفيقين حتى نهاية الدرب.
ومن الأغاني التي كتب كلماتها نجم وتغنى بها الشيخ إمام في حب مصر:
بحبك بحبك بحبك يا مصر
مسايا وصباحي بسبح بحبك
وحبك شفايا وجراحي يا مصر
واسافر بحبك واميل زي ميلك
وتحلا الخطاوي في حبك يا مصر
واحب اغترابي في صبحك وليلك
واحب الونس بالرفاقة يا مصر

وقد عاش الفاجومي حتى رأى وسمع كلماته التي لحنها وغناها صديقه الشيخ إمام وهي تتردد مرة أخرى في ميادين الثورة في مصر.
وكانت أغاني نجم والشيخ إمام تعبر عنهما في ثوريتها وصراحتها الصادمة، وهو ما عرضهما للسجن عدة مرات.
ومن أشهر تلك الأغاني التي سببت لهما مشاكل كثيرة:
هما مين واحنا مين
هما الأمرا والسلاطين
هما المال والحكم معاهم
واحنا الفقرا المحكومين
وقد عاش الصديقان الشاعر والمغني معظم حياتهما بين جدران السجون، لكن أغانيهما ظلت تتردد هنا وهناك.
واتهم البعض أعمال نجم والشيخ إمام بأنها تتسم بجلد الذات، وأنها تدعو إلى اليأس أحيانا.
لكن الدكتور عبد الغفار مكاوي يشير إلى العازف الفرعوني الأعمى، في كتاب “مدرسة الحكمة”، ويقول: “شكوى العازف الفرعوني الأعمى على القيثار أو شكوى زميله المتعَب من الحياة لم تكن تعبيرا عن يأس شامل من كل شيء وكل أمل، بل كانت تبكي قدر صاحبها الشخصي أو قدر قومه وشعبه”.
ولا يختلف الشيخ إمام عن جده المصري القديم؛ إذ كان يتغني قائلا:
أنا انسان بسيط لم أضع يوما علي كتفيّ مدفع
أنا لم أضغط زنادا طول عمرى
انا لا أملك إلا بعض موسيقي تُوقّع
ريشةً ترسم أحلامى وقنينةَ حبري
أنا لا أملك حتى خبز يومى وأنا بالكاد أشبع
انما أملك إيمانى الذى لا يتزعزعْ
ولم يكن الشيخ إمام أول من سلك هذا الدرب من الغناء؛ إذ سار عليه كثيرون قبله منهم الشيخ سيد درويش، كما لحق به آخرون بعده.
ولا يزال نجم الشيخ إمام ساطعا رغم مرور عشرات السنين على رحيله.
