أعظم. وفي وقت غير بعيد، كان طريق الحب الحقيقي يحفل بالبلايا من قبيل الاختفاء الفُجائي وخدع الاستغلال العاطفي لغايات مادية ومواعدة أكثر من شخص في الآن ذاته والتمسك بأحدهم ومواعدة غيره وغيرها من التصرفات الشريرة. لكن مسار المواعدة اليوم موبوء فعلياً- كما يُمنع عليكم مغادرة المنزل فلا يسعكم أن تهملوا من تواعدونه حتى. بسبب فيروس كورونا، يقضي الناس حول العالم أوقاتهم حالياً داخل المنزل، مما يعني بالنسبة إلى العزّاب أنّ مكالمات الفيديو في آخر الليل وممارسة بعض الحب الذاتي خفية أثناء نوم رفاقهم في السكن هي أقصى درجات التشويق التي سيختبرونها لبعض الوقت. انقضت أيام المواعيد الأولى وجهاً لوجه، بالكاد مرّ أسبوع واحد على بدء الحجر وها قد بدأنا نرى وقعه على المواعدة: خذوا مثلاً الصحافية في قناة البي بي سي التي انتشر اسمها بعد تغريدها عن الانعزال مع رجل تعرفت إليه للتوّ على تطبيق المواعدة “هينج”. ويبدو أن الأمور تسير على ما يرام بينهما، حتى أنّ الثنائي احتفل مؤخراً بذكرى مرور أسبوع على عزلتهما المشتركة بأكل بيضة شوكولاتة من بيض عيد الفصح تشبه وحيد القرن. وفي مكان آخر، ينهمك مشروع مواعدة افتراضي اسمه الحب هو الحَجر، استناداً إلى السلسلة الناجحة على نتفليكس، الحب أعمى، في ترتيب مواعيد افتراضية للناس. وفيما تشكّل كل هذه الأمور قصصاً مسلية، تخلّف هذه التغييرات أيضاً آثاراً أكثر جدية ولا سيما بما أنّ المملكة المتحدة تُعرف أساساً باسم عاصمة الوحدة في أوروبا-حتى أنه لدينا وزير خاص لشؤون الوحدة. فقلّة الاحتكاك الجسدي التي تفرضها الجائحة قد تؤثر بشكل كبير في عافيتهم النفسية والعقلية ولا سيّما إن كانوا من بين 7.7 مليون بريطاني يعيش بمفرده. وسجّلت تطبيقات المواعدة ارتفاعاً في عدد مستخدميها: أعلن تطبيق “بمبل” عن ارتفاع بنسبة 35 في المئة في إجمالي عدد الرسائل المُرسلة منذ بداية الوباء بالإضافة إلى ارتفاع في مكالمات الهاتف و الفيديو باستخدام التطبيق. كما لحظ تطبيق تندر ارتفاعاً هائلاً في نشاط مستخدميه- حيث طالت مدّة المحادثات بنسبة 30 في المئة مقارنة بالشهر الماضي وهو أمر غير مفاجئ نظراً لأن الجميع بات لديهم المزيد من الوقت من أجل ابتكار جمل غزل يستخدمونها للتودّد إلى شخص تمهيداً لدعوته إلى محادثة معزولة على تطبيق “هاوس بارتي” (حفلة منزلية) مثلاً. ويقول أحد المتحدثين باسم تطبيق “بمبل” للإندبندنت “فيما ندخل المرحلة الأولى من التباعد الجسدي، نتوقّع من هذه الاتجاهات في سلوك المستخدمين ومن غيرها أيضاً أن تتطوّر فيما يبحث المزيد من الأشخاص عن طرق للتفاعل من خلال الصلات الفرديّة”. طبعاً، في عالم المواعدة الرقمي الحالي، ليس من النادر أن تنمو العلاقات العاطفية من وراء الشاشة- لكن لا يفترض بها أن تبقى هناك للأبد. ومع ذلك، تقول المعالجة النفسية داريا كاس بمواعدته منذ شهرين باستخدام تطبيق الفيديو فايس تايم بعد اضطرارها للعودة إلى موطنها الفرنسي قبل إغلاق الحدود. وقالت “تسارعت العلاقة كثيراً بفعل الظروف وقضينا أمسيات بأكملها نتحدّث. نحن نعلم أننا لن نرى بعضنا طوال شهرين أو ثلاثة على الأقلّ لكن الأمور لطيفة جداً بالفعل لأننا نركّز على التعرّف على بعضنا بشكل أعمق من دون أن يعيق الانجذاب الجسدي هذا الأمر”. ومع إلغاء احتمال ممارسة الجنس العابرة، نجح فيروس كورونا بإعادة عقارب الساعة إلى الوراء في عالم المواعدة، فأضحت العلاقات مثل تلك التي تقيمها كانديس تعكس طقوس مواعدة وغزل طواها الزمن. وتشرح كاس “تذكّر هذه المدة الافتراضية في العلاقة بمدة المغازلة الأكثر تقليدية”. وتقول “في حينه، كانت فترة التعارف بين الزوجين تستغرق المزيد من الوقت. وتقليدياً بالنسبة إلى الأزواج المغايرين، هذا يعني محاولة الرجل التودّد للمرأة من أجل استمالتها، فيغدق ودور من اليوم لشراء ورق الحمام- بالإضافة إلى من لا يخاطرون بالافتراق عن بعضهم طوال أسابيع أو أشهر فيقررون “اختبار قوة علاقتهم” والانتقال للعيش معاً كما اقترحت عليهم الحكومة البريطانية في وقت سابق من الأسبوع. وتقول المعالجة النفسية المختصّة بالمواعدة مادلين مايسون رونتري للإندبندنت إن هذا الوقت هو الأمثل بالنسبة لكل ثنائي غير متزوّج كي يختبر علاقته ويتأكد إن كانت ستدوم. وتشرح “يتقرب الأزواج من بعضهم خلال الأوقات الصعبة ويجدون معنى مشتركاً للحياة”. وتضيف رونتري “عندما نظهر تعاطفنا وضعفنا للآخر، يحدث شيء سحري. ومع أنّ التصادمات حتمية، فمجرّد أنكما علقتما معاً قد يظهر لكما مدى ملائمة واحدكم الآخر فعلياً”. بالنسبة إلى البعض، مثل الدي جي هاريت روز التي تبلغ من العمر 30 عاماً، يجري الانتقال المفاجئ للعيش مع الشريك بسلاسة شديدة. وهي بدأت لتوّها بالعيش مع امرأة تواعدها منذ شهرين. وتقول
