\ إبراهيم العريس باحث وكاتب ليس هناك لحد علمنا أية دراسة عربية علمية عن كتاب “ألف ليلة وليلة” سبقت الدراسة الرائدة، التي وضعتها الباحثة المصرية سهير القلماوي. وحين نتحدث عن “دراسة” هنا فإننا نشير إلى العمل العلمي المتكامل، لا إلى الكتابات الصحفية والتعليقات والانطباعات. فـ”ألف ليلة وليلة” مثلها في ذلك مثل الكثير من الشؤون الفكرية والإبداعية العربية، ولا سيما منها ما ينتمي إلى التراث ظلت في منأى عن الدراسات المعمقة طوال مئات السنين حتى جاء القرن العشرون، وبدأ الاهتمام بها يتجاوز المشاعر الوطنية العاطفية ليغوص في الأبعاد الأكاديمية أو ما يدنو منها. ولعل خير مثال على ذلك، تاريخ ابن خلدون ومقدمته اللذان كان طه حسين عند بدايات القرن العشرين من أوائل العرب الذين درسوهما بصورة جدية بعيدة من العاطفة، بعدما أمعن الغرب درساً وتمحيصاً لهما… وتطول هذه اللائحة إن نحن حاولنا الغوص فيها. والحقيقة أن طه حسين نفسه سيكون عند أواسط القرن العشرين أول من يحيي سهير القلماوي على دراستها القيمة، مشيراً إلى ريادتها في هذا المجال. ريادة من نوع خاص والقلماوي رائدة بالفعل، وكانت كمن يقدم على مجازفة حين اختارت “الليالي العربية” موضوعاً لنيلها شهادة الدكتوراه تحت رعاية طه حسين نفسه، لكن النتيجة أتت مشرفة إلى حد كبير، ما أطلق الدراسات التي تتناول التراث العربي من وجهات نظر جديدة وجعل بخاصة لذلك الصرح الحكائي الكبير مكتبته العربية، بعدما كان المستشرقون قد أصدروا ترجمات كثيرة لهذا العمل الجبار الذي ندر بين أدباء العالم الكبار من لم يعلن دينه له، من ماركيز إلى كونراد ومن بورغيس إلى ميشال تورنييه وعشرات غيرهم. ومن هنا أهمية الدنو الذي قامت به القلماوي من هذا العمل، من وجهة نظر عربية، حتى وإن كان نوعاً من عواطفية وطنية قد تسرب إلى دراستها، كما يفعل العديد من الكتاب العرب في مثل هذه المجالات، محاولين أن “ينقّوا” و”يطهروا” هذا النوع من الإبداعات من أية ملامح أجنبية قد تحاول الدنو منها. وهكذا مثلاً، على الرغم من كل الحكايات الصارخة في انتماءاتها الآسيوية والهندية والفارسية وحتى الصينية التي تملأ الليالي، لا يفوت القلماوي أن تؤكد أن الحكايات عربية مئة في المئة، غير معترفة على الرغم من نزعتها العلمية والليبرالية المميزة بأن الليالي هي تراث إنساني عربي التمركز والمنبع إلى حد كبير، لكنه، كالحضارة العربية نفسها عرف كيف ينهل من حضارات اختلط بها وإبداعات أتت بها شعوب أخرى لتضاف إلى التراث العربي. والحقيقة أن دراسة سهير القلماوي، لولا هذه الشائبة الموروثة لدى الكاتبة من عقلية عربية حصرية تتناسى أصول الفارابي والغزالي والواسطي وابن سينا والبيروني والرازي وغيرهم التي تشي بها حتى أسماؤهم، لأتت عملاً متكاملاً معاصراً ذا نزعة إنسانية وأبعاد اجتماعية وتحليلات معاصرة. والحقيقة أن هذه الفضائل تميز على أية حال تلك الدراسة التي وضعتها سهير القلماوي في أواسط القرن العشرين، فأتت منصفة في حق هذه القطعة الكبيرة من التراث العربي، وفي حق الفن الحكائي ككل وأيضاً في حق هذا البعد الذي لا شك أن الأوان قد حان للتركيز عليه: البعد الكامن في التركيز على تلك الكوزموبوليتية التي طبعت التراث العربي الحقيقي خارج أية شوفينية ونزعة عواطفية تتناقض مع العلم. وهي تتناقض إلى درجة يبدو معها نافراً كل النفور ما تشدد عليه القلماوي نفسها من النقاء العربي لأعظم عمل روائي أدبي أنجز في اللغة العربية، وتحديداً باللغة العربية كجامع للحضارات والتراثات والأفكار لا كمنغلق قومجي! ثلاث رائدات من مصر ونعود هنا إلى سهير القلماوي نفسها لنشير إلى أنها على الرغم من المواقف الفكرية التي اختلفت فيها مع تلك الرائدة الكبيرة الأخرى المجايلة لها، كان اسمها واسم لطيفة الزيات، يتعايشان في أذهان الصفوة العربية المثقفة، خلال النصف الثاني من القرن العشرين، وفي بعض الأحيان كان ينضم إليهما اسم ثالث هو اسم عائشة عبد الرحمن بنت الشاطئ. ولقد كان من غريب الصدف أن ترحل الثلاث عن عالمنا في فترة من الزمن متقاربة، فتخسر مصر بموتهن ثلاث قمم فكرية وعلمية راسخة. لطيفة الزيات في يساريتها التي أودت بها إلى السجن، وعائشة عبد الرحمن في إسلامها الذي ربطها بالتراث وعراقته، وسهير القلماوي في ليبراليتها، كن علامات أساسية من علامات النهضة الفكرية التي شعّت في مصر، في وقت كانت فيه المرأة العربية لا تزال تطالب ولو بالحد الأدنى من الحقوق. شهرزاد كما تخيلها الرسام إدموند دولاك (لوحة منشورة في ترجمة إنجليزية لكتاب “ألف ليلة وليلة” عام 1911 ـ أمازون) حياة أكاديمية سهير القلماوي لم تكن الأشهر بينهن، وإن كانت الأكثر انخراطاً في الحياة الأكاديمية، هي التي كان الدكتور طه حسين يفخر بتلمذتها على يديه وبكتابها الكبير عن “ألف ليلة وليلة”، إلى درجة أنه وضع للكتاب مقدمة اعتبرت صيحة فكرية ولكن اجتماعية أيضاً. رحلت سهير القلماوي في عام 1997 عن ست وثمانين سنة، قضت أكثرها في العمل العلمي والكتابي. والمعروف عن د.سهير القلماوي أنها كانت واحدة من أول ثلاث فتيات التحقن بالتعليم العالي الجامعي في مصر، هي التي نالت شهادة الليسانس في الآداب من جامعة القاهرة وكانت لا تزال في الثانية والعشرين من عمرها. وستكون في عام 1956 أول أستاذة أنثى تتولى تدريس الطلاب الذكور في الجامعة نفسها. وهذان الأمران كانا يعنيان الكثير لتلك العالمة المفكرة، التي كان دخولها الجامعة في ذلك الوقت المبكر لأسباب نضالية نسوية كما لأسباب علمية. فالحقيقة أن سهير تأثرت منذ مطلع صباها بما عرفته مصر من نضالات اجتماعية وسياسية منذ ثورة عام 1919. ومن هنا تماشى لديها، على الدوام، النضال الفكري والنضال الاجتماعي تحت مظلة العمل السياسي، الذي سوف يقودها، بعد ذلك بكثير، إلى مجلس الشعب حيث أصبحت نائبة عن منطقة حلوان عن “الحزب الوطني الديمقراطي” الحاكم، وهي كانت -على أية حال- في انتمائها إلى ذلك الحزب أمينة لليبراليتها ولتراث ثورة 1919، ولوقوفها مع السلطة باعتبارها أضمن المراجع. أكثر من ريادة واحدة كانت د.سهير القلماوي تفخر بعدة ريادات قيض لها أن تعيشها طوال حياتها، فهي إضافة إلى ريادتها كواحدة من أولى الطالبات الجامعيات، ثم كواحدة من أولى مدرسات جامعة القاهرة، كانت المرأة الوحيدة التي عيّنت رئيسة للمؤسسة المصرية العامة للسينما، وأول امرأة تتولى رئاسة مجلس إدارة الهيئة المصرية للكتاب 1967-1971، وأول رئيسة لقسم الأدب العربي واللغة العربية في معهد البحوث والدراسات العربية. والحال أن القلماوي شغلت العديد من المناصب طوال حياتها العملية، ومثلت مصر في الكثير من المؤتمرات والندوات، وكان لديها مع ذلك من الوقت، ليس فقط لتتولى أمانة شؤون المرأة في الحزب الوطني الديمقراطي، ولتشغل مقعداً برلمانياً في دورتين متعاقبتين، بل كذلك لتضع العديد من الكتب، التي كان أهمها وأشهرها كتابها الرائد عن “ألف ليلة وليلة”، الذي يعتبره كثيرون من أهم ما صدر عن “الليالي العربية” حتى اليوم، بل إنه الكتاب الأم الذي سيستند إليه معظم الكتاب العرب الذين وضعوا مؤلفات عن الليالي. وهذا الكتاب وضعته سهير القلماوي في الأصل كأطروحة دكتوراه 1941، وصدر في طبعته الأولى في عام 1943، ولم يتوقف عن الصدور في طبعات متعاقبة حتى اليوم. كتب وموسوعات لكن هذا الكتاب لم يكن، بالطبع، كل ما ألفته سهير القلماوي، فهي أصدرت العديد من الكتب النقدية والفكرية مثل “أحاديث جدتي”، و”العالم بين دفتي كتاب” 1958، و”أهرام عربية” 1959، وشاركت في تأليف كتب موسوعية مثل “حول مائدة المعرفة” 1964، و”الموسوعة الميسرة” 1965، وترجمت العديد من الكتب مثل “الميسرة”، كما ترجمت “حوار إيون” لأفلاطون، ومسرحية “ترويض الشرسة” لشكسبير و”رسائل صينية”. ولئن كانت د.سهير القلماوي قدمت الكثير لمصر وللحياة الثقافية العربية، فإن الأطراف المعنية لم تبخل عليها بالجوائز والأوسمة، إذ نالت، ومنذ عام 1941، جائزة المجمع اللغوي
