عوامل عدة أدت إلى ارتفاع نسبة الإصابة بـ”المرض” أهمها التلوث البيئي والغذائي

لا يشغل بال المواطن اللبناني “مفهوم الأمن الغذائي” بمعنى حصوله على كميات كافية من الغذاء وبأسعار مقبولة نسبياً، ولكن ما يشغل باله فعلياً، هو ما إذا كان هذا الغذاء سليماً وصالحاً للاستهلاك البشري. وبما أن نسبة التلوث ارتفعت في السنوات الأخيرة إلى مؤشرات خطرة، إذ كانت منظمات ومواقع عدة تكلمت عن هذا الموضوع منها موقع نومبيو Numbeo الذي كشف عن أن لبنان احتل المركز الخامس من بين الدول الأكثر تلوثاً لعام 2019، بعد منغوليا وميانمار وأفغانستان وبنغلادش، بينما كان في المرتبة الثامنة في 2018، وتقدم على مصر ونيجيريا والصين والعراق على الرغم من الكثافة السكانية والتلوث الصناعي في تلك البلدان.
كما كانت منظمة “غرين بيس” Green Peace البيئية العالمية أدرجت مدينة جونية اللبنانية في قائمة المدن الأكثر تلوثاً في العالم، بعد احتلالها المرتبة الخامسة عربياً والـ23 عالمياً وذلك عام 2018.
وأفاد تقرير صدر العام الماضي أيضاً عن الوكالة الدولية لأبحاث السرطان التابعة لمنظمة الصحة العالمية، بأن لبنان احتل المرتبة الأولى بين دول غرب آسيا في عدد الإصابات بمرض السرطان، قياساً إلى عدد السكان. وأوضح التقرير أن هناك 242 مصاباً بالسرطان بين كل 100 ألف لبناني، فيما سُجلت أكثر من 17 ألف إصابة جديدة عام 2018، ونحو تسعة آلاف وفاة بسبب المرض.
أسباب استفحال المرض
قد تكون حملات التوعية والعلاجات والوقاية من الأمراض المستعصية مفيدة إلى حد ما، لكن العلاقة وطيدة بين البيئة والغذاء وأمراض السرطان حسب وزير الصحة اللبناني الدكتور جميل جبق، الذي كان أشار في حديث إذاعي سابق إلى أن عدد مرضى السرطان ارتفع بنحو 3 أضعاف منذ 10 سنوات إلى الآن.
وفي حديث لـ “اندبندنت عربية”، أكد جبق أن “هناك عوامل عدة أدت إلى ارتفاع نسبة السرطان أهمها التلوث البيئي والتلوث الغذائي. كما أن نمط حياة اللبناني تغيّر، من طريقة أكله الى تأثره في العولمة، وابتعاده عن الأكل القروي الصحي، ما أسفر عن تدهور المستوى الصحي، وانكشاف ذلك على مدى العشر سنوات الماضية”. وأضاف أن “الهواء ملوث نتيجة عوادم السيارات، إذ يوجد في لبنان أكثر من مليون سيارة، والأراضي الزراعية ملوثة نتيجة الفوضى في استعمال المبيدات الكيمائية”، مؤكداً أنه أوقف استعمال 27 مستحضراً كيماوياً فور استلامه مهماته في الوزارة. وأشار جبق إلى مشكلة “تلوث المياه، إذ لا يستطيع المواطن اللبناني أن يشرب من ماء الصنبور ولا أن يغسل أسنانه، كما أن مياه الأنهار والبحار ملوثة، فيُضطر إلى أن يستورد الأسماك من البلدان المجاورة، أو أن يُبحر الصيادون عميقاً في البحر كي يصلوا إلى نقطة نظيفة بعيدة من الشاطئ. هذا كله يعرّض الغذاء للتلوث”.
الحروب والتخلف
ويؤكد جبق أن الحروب التي توالت على لبنان والمشاكل المتتالية أدت إلى نوع من “التخلف بمتابعة الوضع البيئي، ونحاول أن نصلح بالاشتراك مع وزارت الطاقة والبيئة قدر الإمكان”.
لكن إيقاع حياة اللبناني المعروف بحبه للمطاعم والخروج ليلاً كل أيام الاسبوع تقريباً بخاصة أبناء المدن، فكيف يتأكد من سلامة ما يأكله؟ يجيب وزير الصحة أن “ذلك يحتاج إلى مفتشين غذائيين، وأن الحكومة أوقفت عقود 75 مفتشاً غذائياً تحت شعار التقشف، ونعمل على إعادة استرداد عقود هؤلاء المفتشين لأن في ذلك حاجة ماسة بخاصة لعمل المطاعم والإشراف عليها”.
ماذا عن سلامة غذاء تلاميذ وأطفال المدارس، ماذا يأكلون في الأكشاك؟ التي غالباً ما تكون غير خاضعة للرقابة وعرضة للتلوث، يشرح جبق أنه بالتعاون مع وزارة التربية وبالتعاون مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الـ UNDP، سيُعدّون حملة توعية حول أكشاك البيع لمراقبة “ماذا يأكل التلاميذ في المدارس؟”.
ولدى سؤال جبق حول سبب عدم مبادرة وزارة الصحة إلى إعادة إحياء الأكل القروي العضوي، Organic Food، أجاب أن “اللبناني بطبيعة الحال تغيّر، حتى أبناء القرى، فهم عندما يذهبون إلى قراهم يشترون حاجاتهم من السوبرماركت من لحوم وخضروات، وابتعدوا عن عادات قراهم، لذلك ستقوم الوزارة بمبادرة من قرية زوطر الشرقية في الجنوب، بمؤتمر يحيي المأكولات القروية ويعيد التذكير بهذه المأكولات والزراعات”.
تلوث السيارات
لكن هل عوادم السيارات هي المسؤولة الوحيدة عن التلوث البيئي الحاصل في لبنان؟ يقول رئيس الحركة البيئية بول أبي راشد لـ “اندبندنت عربية” أن “سوء معالجة النفايات من حرق وطمر منذ عشرات السنين أدى إلى تسرب عصارة هذه النفايات إلى المياه والتربة وبالتالي تلوثها، وتلوث الهواء من جراء الدخان المنبعث من الحرائق العشوائية في المناطق، ودخلت الملوثات في الدورة الغذائية، ومياه الصرف الصحي التي تذهب مباشرة إلى البحر والتي تلوث بدورها التربة. التدخين في الأماكن العامة هو من الأسباب المهمة، وقطاع النقل سبب مهم أيضاً”. ويضيف أبي راشد أن “المولدات المنتشرة بين الأحياء بطريقة عشوائية لإنتاج الطاقة، مسؤولة مباشرة أيضاً”.
ماذا عن السياسات الحكومية المتعاقبة لإصلاح الوضع البيئي بعد نواقيس الخطر من المؤسسات الدولية؟ يقول أبي راشد إن “الاهتمام ذهب إلى الطرقات والإسفلت والاقتصاد ولم تُعطَ الأولوية أبداً للبيئة والصحة العامة، الاستهتار رافق السياسات الحكومية المتعاقبة”. وختم أنه “يجب إعلان حالة طوارئ صحية وبيئية في لبنان”.
بشكل عام، لم يلاحَظ إلى الآن قلق حكومي مرافق للتقارير الصادرة عن المؤسسات البيئية الدولية، يدفع إلى معالجة الوضع ليعود لبنان إلى ما كان عليه منذ سنوات، منتجعاً بيئياً للمصطافين العرب ومقصداً للسواح، بعدما تحول بفعل الإهمال إلى بؤرة بيئية وصحية خطيرة.
