المجد للشيطان؟ وثائقي من إخراج الأمريكية بيني لين يسلط الضوء على محاولات المعبد لوقف انتهاكات المسيحية للحياة الأمريكية والتصدي لنفوذها السياسي المتزايد هذا ما يقوله الوثائقي.
وكانت تلك النزعة الثيوقراطية قد أسفرت عن نشر الوصايا العشر في مقر كونغرس ولاية أوكلاهوما بمدينة أوكلاهوما سيتي.
ويحاول معبد الشيطان استعادة نوع من التوازن الديني ودعم العدالة الاجتماعية والحقوق الإنسانية.

ويتناول الوثائقي نشاط المعبد الذي يتضمن تشجيع الناس على التبرع بالدم، وجمع الجوارب للمشردين، وتنظيف الشواطئ العامة، وإقامة أندية شيطانية بعد المدرسة للأطفال لتعليمهم التعاطف نحو جميع الكائنات، وتعليمهم أن الإنسان خطاء وأنه إذا ارتكب خطأ عليه تصحيحه وإزالة أي ضرر ينجم عنه.
ورغم أن هناك جانبا قد يبدو مرعبا في نشاطهم ويتمثل في طقوس الصلوات بالسواد لاستدعاء الشيطان إلا أنهم جميعا يعترفون بأنهم لا يؤمنون حقا بالشيطان روحانية عليا، ولكنهم يلتزمون بالترجمة الدقيقة للكلمة العبرية الشيطان والتي تعني “الخصم”.

ويسلط الوثائقي الضوء على محاولات المعبد نصب تمثال برونزي جميل للشيطان على أراض فيدرالية، كما يلقي الضوء أيضا على موجة “الذعر من الشيطان” وهي موجة أخلاقية تجتاح أمريكا منذ الثمانينيات والتسعينيات وشملت الموسيقى وألعاب الفيديو، حيث باتت السلطات والمنظمات المسيحية اليمينية المتشددة ترى في كل شيء أمثلة على عبادة الشيطان.
وقالت لين: “استغرق الأمر ما بين 10 إلى 15 سنة لتكريس فكرة أن هناك مؤامرة سرية من عبدة الشيطان الذين يفعلون أموراً شريرة مثل قتل وتعذيب الحيوانات واغتصاب الأطفال باسم الشيطان”.
وتابعت قائلة في الوثائقي: “أدى ذلك إلى تدمير حياة الكثيرين من الناس، وفي بعض الحالات دخول السجن لفترات طويلة، وإذا بحثت بجدية في الأمر لن تجد عبدة شيطان، ولا مؤامرة سرية، فالشر في المطاردة نفسها، وهذا ما علينا تذكره كمجتمع، وما يريده معبد الشيطان هو أن يعرف الناس ذلك”.
