ترشيح أدباء مخضرمين لجائزة بوكر البريطانية على حساب الروائيين الجدد

ضمت قائمة المرشحين هذه السنة لنيل جائزة بوكر الأدبية البريطانية التي أعلنها المنظمون، أمس الثلاثاء، ستة روائيين سبق لهم الفوز بهذه المكافآت العريقة، بينهم أدباء كبار ككازوو إيشيغورو، على حساب أقلام جديدة.

وحصل المؤلف البريطاني من أصل ياباني كازوو إيشيغورو (66 سنة) على خامس ترشيحاته لهذه الجائزة الأدبية التي أطلقت عام 1969، ويمكن للمؤلفين من أي جنسية التنافس عليها شرط أن يكتبوا باللغة الإنجليزية.

وهو فاز بالجائزة عام 1989عن روايته “ذي ريماينز أوف ذي داي” (بقايا النهار)، لكنه رُشح لنيل هذه المكافأة أيضاً سنة 1986عن روايته “أن أرتيست فروم ذي فلوتينغ وورلد” (فنان من العالم العائم)، وسنة 2000 عن “ون وي وير أورفنز” (عندما كنا يتامى) وعام 2005 عن “نيفر لت مي غو” (لا تدعني أذهب أبداً).

وقد رُشح الكاتب الحائز جائزة نوبل للآداب سنة 2017، هذه المرة عن روايته الثامنة، “كلارا والشمس” التي تقدم “رؤية بريئة بعيدة من الأنانية عن السلوك الغريب للبشر المهووسين والمجروحين بالسلطة والموقع والخوف”.

كما ضمت القائمة خمسة روائيين آخرين سبق أن رُشحوا لهذه الجائزة، وهم دايمن غالغوت عن روايته “ذي بروميس” (الوعد)، وماري لوسون عن “إيه تاون كولد سولايس” (مدينة اسمها سولايس)، وريتشارد باورز عن “بيوايلدرمنت” (الحيرة) وسونجيف ساهوتا عن “تشاينا روم”.

في المحصلة، اختير 13 عملاً من لجنة تحكيم مكونة من خمسة قضاة من بين 158 رواية منشورة في المملكة المتحدة أو إيرلندا في الفترة ما بين 1 أكتوبر (تشرين الأول) 2020 و30 سبتمبر (أيلول) 2021.

ومن بين هذه الأسماء الـ13، ست نساء، وكاتبان يُرشحان عن روايتهما الأولى، وهو عدد متدن مقارنة مع نسخة العام السابق التي شهدت ترشيح ثمانية كتاب جدد.

وفي العام الماضي، مُنحت الجائزة للاسكتلندي دوغلاس ستيوارت عن روايته الأولى “شوغي باين” التي تتمحور حول عائلة من الطبقة العاملة في غلاسكو تكافح الإدمان على الكحول والفقر في ثمانينيات القرن الـ20.

وستُعلن أسماء المرشحين النهائيين الستة في 14 سبتمبر، قبل اختيار الفائز في 3 نوفمبر (تشرين الثاني)، مع مكافأة مالية قدرها 50 ألف جنيه (69 ألف دولار).
